One of the common causes of female infertility is low quality eggs or their absence. The reasons can be different, from oophorectomy (removal of the ovaries) to menopause. Low ovarian reserve, high risk of transmitting a hereditary disease, damage to eggs during radiation and chemotherapy, as well as several unsuccessful IVF with her own eggs prompt a woman to look for a donor of reproductive cells.

Donor programs are implemented on conditions of anonymity. In the catalogue, donors are indicated by numbers. Features of IVF with donor oocytes (native program)
An important feature of this program is the synchronization of the menstrual cycles of the donor and recipient. The selected donor is prepared for superovulation (the simultaneous maturation of several eggs) using hormonal drugs. After puncture of the follicles, mature oocytes are placed in a Petri dish, and sperm (spouse, partner or donor) are added there. Fertilized eggs are transferred to an incubator, where embryos are formed within 3-5 days. At this time, the recipient's uterus (a woman planning to carry a pregnancy) is prepared using drugs that affect the condition of the endometrium (the layer of cells lining the inner surface of the uterus). Thus, after implantation, the embryo finds itself in comfortable conditions and has every chance to take root. Currently, the transfer of 1-2 embryos is allowed, and the remaining healthy embryos can be cryopreserved and used for further IVF (cryotransfer) procedures.
